Well aptly said shantz But searching the viruses and cleaning them all is having a great pleasure in it,( As far as u r doing it for ur own system) See what the funny names those viruses have and more funnier are the names of satellites that cable operator used to select while selecting channels. (I saw one satellite named HotBird , and wished that cable operator select that particular satellite but bad luck) Even more funnier are the names for the servers I should not mention them here.
But after all viruses from hostels, the songs and movies does worth the risk

Twas a bad day for me

Installed Linux on HD 1
Thought ki it'll take some time getting used to *nix, so decided to switch back to windows.
Booted from HD 2, deleted the 1 GB swap partition...
Woh to gayi hi but it also took the rest of the drive with it.. Sad
Now hefta recover 100 gigs of data and looks like I have lost more than 20% of it. Neutral

So this is a suggestion to all the peeps who are planning to try out Linux. Be careful with the partitioning (even if you are an advanced user).

hmm.deleting partitions is smthing u shud be wary of..cuz they automatically get assimilated with the adjacent partition and then both of them are lost instead of just the one u deleted...

I guess that was the mistake I made..
While making the swap partition, I added it to the logical drive..
Maybe thats why everything except the primary linux partition got deleted.

Neways, I had some huge files (about 3.9 gig DVD Images). Any idea on how to recover those. Tried a few softwares... they are able to detect almost everything except these files.. Help! Neutral
