Has anyone read Paulo Coelho's "The Zahir" yet? Please let me know if it's worth a read 'coz I'm planning to pick it up..

The Alchemist is a Bible to me. Whenever in self-doubt, I go back and read it. The Zahir looks promising too. I will lay my dirty hands on a copy asap!!

Man I am still unable to get the ebook version. Recently heard the book 'The Zahir' is really good. All I have found is the spanish version

Well, didn't know abt this one!! Meanwhile read 11 minutes this week end!!!
The Diary entries written by Maria showed how well the author can translate things going on in his mind (or the protagnist's mind) into words... really amazing!! and they were thought provoking though i ve never been any where near to sex... |

well i have started reading the zahir.. its really intriguing... i liked the first 100 pages i have read... r3eally liked some lines on love. gaur farmaiye:

hey hi,
Just came across this post of yours,which i guess was posted really long ago..a question... Have you finally read THE ZAHIR? its worth reading...Infact I read another sublime book of Paulo Coelho "By the river Piedra I sat down And wept",,,and there's a sorta similarity one can feel in regards to the longings and obsessions for love lost....I guess Paulo Coelho rocks....!!! |

I did try reading The Zahir, but someone flicked my copy, before I could finish. Never bothered to buy it again... but I feel Mr. Coelho's best work so far is definitely The Alchemist.. whatsay?

Hmmmm well..yeah thats true that THE ALCHEMIST is one of its type...written to inspire generations for eons....based on more necessary priority in todays life..which is search for one's dreams..and how far could one go for chasing them..!!
i guess the other books..like which i mentioned discuss more about love etc....which comes later.....perhaps... The ALCHEMIST's lines,,,i wanna a bit mould and say:When you are in love..the whole universe conspires together to make it happen.... Cheers Shilpi |
