How many songs do u have one ur system?

I remember there was a guy in our hostel who has around 3000 songs, during my time in pec. and I used to think how does he have so many.

well, now I have 7582 songs (audio) with almost an even english-hindi split. and 278 videos.

How many songs do u have?

around 3500+
and hey i am plannin to buy a external HDD to increase my universe..

BW one of my friends here has 60Gb!!!! of music...

i have 3 disks attached to my system. 40+80+120. and i am all out of slots.

I have around 49gigs songs (audio+video) presently.

anyway, i plan to get a new system and will go in for a larger drive then.

you could get an internal drive too. they are dirt cheap nowadays.

its 10000+, if i count the videos otherwise 8000 - 10000.....am not current now that there is no net at home, so limited to whatever i can take on USB sticks from office...

nice lib shantanu. but how big of a hard disc do u have to have over 2000+ videos on it?

you must be using a major part of ur disc for the videos. i usually burn the extra media/data.

yaar, i have abt 500 videos, audios are abt 9500-9600. HD is 80 GB and most of it (~60 GB i think)is in songs only cuz dont need any software etc at home. The only thing for which the comp at home is used is for listening to music or watching movies...Everything else (including games and a few movies) is done at office...
Dont have a burner, so thats the limitation i have Sad

well u can afford to have that setup. here they don't allow any such things at the office or school for that matter.

i am planning on getting a second computer soon. then will make this one only linux and only media station. i am using windows till linux support for games improves. also the problem with windows is that it can't recognize any of the linux file systems.

just downloaded a couple of albums today including one from Underground OST. haven't heard them yet.
