I'm about to install Fedora core 4 on my laptop. But the issue is that I have 1 GB RAM and it is usually advised to have the swap parition as twice the size of ur RAM so I'll be wasting 2 gig of space in swap.
Now what I want to ask is that can I share this swap partition among my win xp installation and fedora installation. Am unsure cuz I've always kept the filesystem on swap partition as "swap". So, can and should it be formatted to FAT32??

EDIT: I Found my answer on the net....
If anyone else is interested in the same, take a look at

But be warned that I havent tried it myself as yet...Will be trying it out most prbbly this weekend if I get sm time and let u guys know abt the result...

I used this when I set up my roommate's laptop with FC3 and Win XP. Was quite useful:

I have not played with FC4 yet but for FC3 I just used whatever was the recommended partition scheme suggested by anaconda.
