hey guyz ..
how can i get a custom icon in the nav bar ...
jus like the small pec logo that showz up in firefox for this site ...

Make an icon file (16*16 pixels) & name it favicon.ico
Drop it in your root directory & the browsers will automatically detect it.

You can also add this code to the header if you want.

Does it work for CDs ?

I mean if i burn a cd with favicon.ico in the root directory (of the cd, ofcourse!) Does it show up instead of the normal CD-ROM icon?

For CDs, I think u can use the autorun.inf for that..
just add the lines
"[autorun]
icon=xyz.ico"
to the file..This should work i think
