airtel just slashed their tariffs for the unlimited plans..I had been confused over the past week as my 128kbps (16kBps) connection was giving speds over 30 kBps but just now came to know that they have automatically changed my plan to the new one which gives 256kbps for the same price....
Check it out guys....

I might just shift to Touchtel now.
Getting 256 k unlimited @ rs 999 wasn't expected at all, atleast this year but I guess we are in for some tough competition in the Broadband arena.
I mean Broadband, not the narrow band that we all are used to. Wink

I think Touchtel was bought by Airtel.
Are they still seperate entities in Chandigarh?

Nope.. Touchtel and Airtel are the same here too.
People generally refer to the ADSL internet by Airtel as Touchtel.

@shantz
Are you getting a consistent 30K on a 32K line, thats impressive.
What about uptime?

@navjot: Touchtel was always the same as airtel (i mean both are bharti's), it was just that mr. mittal brought all its ventures under the same name airtel so there was no *buying* involved..

@lord_pec: yupz, consistent 30 k....uptime has been 100% for me so far (i.e. abt 2 mnths)
