BitTorrent is a protocol that enables fast downloading of large files using minimum Internet bandwidth. BitTorrent costs nothing to use and includes no spyware or pop-up advertising.

Unlike other download methods, BitTorrent maximizes transfer speed by gathering pieces of the file you want and downloading these pieces simultaneously from people who already have them. This process makes popular and very large files, such as videos and television programs, download much faster than is possible with other protocols.

yeah, found other ways, and neways, we can always bypass the proxy but still bypassing the proxy works for accessing blocked content and blocked ports still cant be accessed. So can only access stuff that is on port 80 (http) or port 21 (ftp)....

Ummm, I dont think bit torrent is smthing one wud like to use for the mp3s...there are many more easier and better methods available for mp3s, unless one finds a whole collection of 7-8 or more albums....

i agree with shantanu. i had downloaded a collection of Amitabh bachchan's movie songs starting from bombay to goa right to khakee.

the whole thing was around 1.8 gigs. usually u don't get single mp3s via torrent. it is usually an album or more.

have used it a little but was too slow for me. Also if I have to use a slow setup with for famous/popular files I would use edonkey servers since there are a lot dedicated for specific purpose, especially GAMES. I am game freak, not much of a huge video/audio freak but I like comics in pdf format.

i have over 1200 ecomics (7.5 gb+). but they are not in pdf. comics are usually available as jpegs.

i just started collecting them last month.

as for emule/torrent u need to give them some time. to get the download going. sort of like building ur credit.
