Hey i got the video dat file but i can only hear the song can't see it(pathetic no?)


So if any body couldn give it to me.....

What language is la isla bonita anyway?

Dude do you have the necessary video codecs like divx etc. Those are needed many at times. Try getting MPlayer for windows. It is usually there in Linux.

NEways the video is a wee bit on the "other" side.


So taal matol mat karo, video batao, muchmusic se milee, but WMPlayer doesn't play it, Server se no contact!


Linux Mplayer bahut zyaada resources nahin khata?

bhai mplayer sab play karta hai also it comes bundled with the codec. WM player is total bekaar. It needs codecs to play. that is why u get a blank screen

bhaii mein abhi divx use karna start nahin hua.





Aur what is this buffering . everytime i play a video being streamed on the net, wmplayer starts buffering, and then plays it.

smitz, when u stream a song/video over the net, its never "true" real time streaming. any player will first buffer a certain portion of the media being streamed and then play while d/ling a bit more in the backgrnd or after playing out that part depending on the player being used.

and u r right, i think a dat file must be in vcd format and shud easily be playable on wmp or any other player that plays mpeg or vcd...unless someone changed the extension of the file u have and its really another file...

i tried changing the file extension to mpg,mpeg(if that makes a difference),avi and others. No player shows the video. Tried winamp,wmplayer,media jukebox,jetaudio,musicmatch.


What do i do?

just reread ur question. sorry earlier i had missed that u were getting the audio but not the video.
In that case, I think it is indeed a codec prob. Just download a codec pack and install it. e.g, search for "k-lite codec pack". ullbe able to play the file i think

Same again i don't think dat files need codecs to be played.
