Dear Fellow Pecobians,

The first issue of PALS (PEC Alumni Society) Newsletter is ready. You can download a copy from:

Excellent !! I can see that a lot of work has gone into this and it has come out great !! Lots of information and great articles as well !!

I have a suggestion: It would also be good to publish an HTML version of this newsletter so that people don't have to download a 13 MB file and also, and more importantly, they can read it on any computer.

Also, I am not sure what was used to publish the PDF but if the right DTP tools and the right image formats are used, a much smaller PDF can be easily generated - which would certainly be useful for people with dial-up internet connections.

I look forward to the next issue and even plan to contribute to future issues.

Great work !!

Applause Congratulations on the release of the newsletter. Going through it from cover to cover was a very enjoyable as well as educational experience. One can see the immense amount of hard work that has gone in. I shall look forward to the next edition (and the one after that one...and the one after that one.......and the one.....)

All,

Thanks for your appreciation. PALS team looks forward to contributions from all of you for the future issues.

Regarding the file size, it was my mistake to upload the large version. The one now that is online is around 1.53 Mb (Could not make it smaller than this in order to be compatible with Acrobat 5.0 and above..)

Thanks again,
Puneet.
