Giving a talk at PEC on January 20th, Wednesday, 3-4 pm
Hi Everyone,
My name is Nitin Madnani and I am currently a PhD student in Computer Science at University of Maryland, College Park. I expect to graduate in May 2010. Due to the hard work of Prof. Divya Bansal who takes care of alumni affairs, I will be giving a talk in the auditorium at PEC on Wednesday, January 20th from 3 to 4 pm. In my talk, I will share the interesting and diverse experiences I have had on the way to my PhD. I will then share some lessons stemming from my experiences for students who might want to know more about what a PhD entails and what things are important to think about before making a decision about going for a PhD in the US.
Ms Bansal told me that 3rd and 4th year students of CSE, IT and EE are invited to the talk. I just wanted to take advantage of the Pecobians.com forum to announce the talk and to invite you to come if you are interested in learning about my experiences as a PEC alum and, more importantly, about whether a PhD is for you. If you are interested in attending and are not a student in the three branches above, I would urge you to contact Prof. Divya Bansal and find out whether can also attend.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions about the content of the talk.
Thanks!
Nitin Madnani
